The media journey is no longer linear
A corporate story may begin with a newsroom, move to LinkedIn, be discussed on social media and then return to mainstream coverage. Audiences often meet the same story in several places.
Traditional media still matters
Digital growth does not make established media irrelevant. Credible editorial coverage can still carry authority that owned social content cannot reproduce on its own.
Direct channels have become more important
Companies now have their own channels to explain decisions, publish leadership views and respond quickly. That creates opportunity, but it also creates responsibility for consistency.
PR needs one connected narrative
The strongest communication strategy does not ask whether a story is ‘traditional’ or ‘digital’ first. It asks what the organisation needs to communicate, which audience matters and where that audience is most likely to engage.
